So, you've got an idea...

You’re gonna build that website.

Or print those t-shirts.

Or publish that book.

Or host that podcast…

But before you make anything, you’ve gotta ask yourself a few questions, right?

I mean, when I wanted to get outta debt, I followed Dave Ramsey’s Baby Steps.

And when I wanted to lose weight, I did the Spartacus workout 3x a week, upped my steps, and drank more water.

You already know how it goes.

If you're cooking a meal for the first time, you follow a recipe.

If you're driving somewhere you've never been, you've got GPS on deck.

You don't do important things blindly.

You shouldn't do this thing you’re making like that either.

Following a plan sets you up for success.

I’ve got something that can help, and it’s just a few questions.

Because, like I said, before you make anything, you’ve gotta ask yourself a few questions.

These are simple questions that help keep you focused.

On top of that, it’ll be easier for you to spread the word and get more people to look at what you’ve made.

So, those questions.

They go like this:

  1. What does it look like?

  2. Who’s supposed to see it?

  3. How should they feel?

  4. What do I say to them?

  5. Where can I reach them?

1. What does it look like?

Your logo, color palette, fonts, pictures,… all of this needs to match how you want people to see you.

2. Who’s supposed to see it?

Knowing what people like, want, and need will help you make what you’re making even better.

3. How should they feel?

Consider the vibes. What thoughts and emotions do you want to inspire?

4. What do I say to them?

Your message has to click with your audience.

It needs to make people think, “They understand me. They know how to help me. I think I like them.

5. Where can I reach them?

If you were looking for a partner, you'd hang out where people you like are and talk to a lot of them.

So, go where your audience chills and talk to them.

You wanna be wherever they are. How else will they know you exist?

Simply by considering these questions, you’re in a better position to succeed.

So, make a plan and stick to it.
